Due to its location and the wide range of services and attractions it can provide VIR has an outstanding position in the region. 

Maybe the most valuable one is the family style holiday environment.

On the Island you would not find any of over-sized Hotel-Resorts, problematic areas, heavy thru traffic and any kind of industrial setup.

Instead, you will find human sized businesses for touristic services.  The family apartments are predominant in the holiday services side by side with the little taverns (they call them „Konoba”) Groceries, Ice cream parlors.

Looking at conveniences, you will find all the everyday services from the Bakery to the Hardware Store and everything in between.  Everything is small and nearby.

The bigger part of the Island is uninhibited, the nature is well preserved and readily available by walking, biking and even by swimming – simply using goggles.

Otherwise everything like at home. You might choose cooking at home, eat out, or just spend all your day by reading. Just like at home but at the same time being by the Sea without stress – that`s the real deal.

You can opt for leaving the Island and enjoy the unlimited opportunities to discover the whole area. I.e. NIN the ancient royal City 7km, ZADAR the Dalmatian Capital with unbelievable choice of historical sites 23 km, and the big attraction- the four National Parks (KRKA, PAKLENICA, PLITVICE LAKES, and KORNATI) are nearby.

Might be a good choice to check out the ZATON Holiday Resort Waterpark with your kids as a whole day program.

But if you need something extraordinarily active, noisy, and thrilling – you have to drive to the neighboring island of PAG and reach NOVALYA…
